Marvel Rivals is a 2024 superhero team-based PVP shooter in the Marvel Universe developed by Marvel Games & NetEase Games. It got a pretty good reputation, and a gamer named DARK commented that,"
This game is just too good not to talk about. I haven't had this much fun with a multiplayer game since BO2. If I could rate this game 5000 stars for pure fun, I absolutely would.
I encountered this question: 'Why is there no one in voice chat in the Marvel Rivals?' So, to answer this and help more players enjoy this game, I wrote this post to introduce the voice chat in Marvel Rivals.
Does Marvel Rivals Have Voice Chat?
This first one comes with does Marvel Rivals have voice chat? The answer is Yes! Since it is a 6v6 player-versus-player title, you are playing with five other people on your team; how could there be no voice chat feature?

How to Turn on Voice Chat in Marvel Rivals?
The voice chat is not turned on when you first start playing this game. So you need to set it up yourself. Luckily, it's pretty easy.
1️⃣To Activate Voice Chat:
Step 1. Click on the gear icon in the top right corner of the main menu.
Step 2. Go to the audio tab, find the "Voice Chat" section, turn to the voice chat, and switch it on.
Step 3. Pick either "Push to Talk" or "Open Mic."
- Tip
- "Push to Talk" means you need to hold the hotkey to talk. It is great if you want to control when others hear you. Choosing "Open Mic" will keep your microphone on all the time.
2️⃣To Mute Voice Chat:
Also, at the setting panel, go to "MATCH," and you can see your team and enemy team, find the person you want to meet, and click the speaker icon next to the name. Or you can press "P" to open the player list during a game.
How to Fix Marvel Rivals Voice Chat Not Working?
This game is still new, so some features need time to work perfectly. if you run into issues with voice chat, I gathered some solutions from other players and tried to fix them with these solutions.
Fix 1. Check Volume
Go to "Settings" > "AUDIO," and make sure all of the volume sliders are turned up, including the master volume.
Fix 2. Check Your In-Game Input & Output Device
Go to "Settings" > "AUDIO" > "PLAYBACK" to check your output device.
Go to "VOICE CHAT" and make sure your input device is the same one that you set on your PC.
Fix 3. Check Microphone Accessibility
Go to "Settings"> "Privacy & security" > "Microphone," here, please make sure you have microphone access turned on and turn on the "Let apps access your microphone," and check the "Let desktop apps access your microphone" whether is on.
Fix 4. Check System Sound Settings
Step 1. Right-click the speak icon on the right corner of your PC, and go to "Sound settings."
Step 2. Go to the "Input" section, and make sure you are selecting the correct microphone.
Fix 5. Check Volume Mixer (Windows 11)
Step 1. Right-click on the volume speaker in the taskbar at the bottom right.
Step 2. Click on "Open Volume Mixer."
Step 3. Under "Apps," scroll to Marvel Rivals while the game is running.
Step 4. Click the drop-down arrow, and set the mic to the one you are using.
Share it on:
Fix 6. Check for Ad Blocker
Voice chat features in games may require ad blockers to be deactivated because some of these systems depend on web-based technologies or third-party services that adblockers might inadvertently interfere with. To ensure proper functionality, it is recommended to disable the ad blocker or whitelist the game's domain. Some players reported that Pihole might be one of the reasons the voice chat in Marvel Rivals has issues.
Final Fix. Use Discord Voice Chat
If you are sure that your Windows settings, microphone settings, and voice chat settings are all set correctly. Then, this is the final fix.
Step 1. Link Marvel Rivals to Discord
First, access the main menu > select "Community"> select "Disocrd" and copy the code that is provided.
Then, go down to the "#In-game-binding" channel and hit the "Paste Invite Code" button.
After that, enter the code from before to complete the account binding. Click on a channel like "Team Chat" to join.
Step 2. Set Up Microphone and Audio
Go to "User Setting," and adjust your input and output device under "Voice & Video."
Step 3. Communicate during gameplay
Once connected to the voice channel, you can hear others and talk in real time.
